The work presently revolves around the notion of marking space and the notion of embodying a space, and with it comes a sense of formlessness in the manifestation of the work. Because there is often a live element the work continually has to negotiate the relationship between ‘performance’, as it were, and documentation. I shun the video camera in favour of mythical photographs and various forms of leftovers (traces, costumes, marks objects). I find the moving-image is difficult and unmanageable unless it becomes an integral part of the work and thus features as film (material). The presence of the material signifies the absence of the event.
