This work is based around the idea and tactility of the journey of life. From the perspective that as we go along we plant a succession of small trees, leaving them behind, never looking back - always moving forward. The opposite perspective being planting one tree and watch it grow. Change and alternation, hunger and excitement, destruction and loss. Still, we always carry something with us, in terms of our history and cultural background in the widest sense. This research explores how our cultural perception is informed by the mythological properties of the landscapes that surround us.
Never looking back, 2008. Video; 2 min loop.
